Nutrition Strategy Problems
Can't Post
Did the Mighty Man Half yesterday, everything was great, except my nutrition strategy. First, i think i over hydrated, ended up needing to take a leak 3 times on the 2nd loop of the bike. I also got terrible stomach cramps halfway through the bike and for the entire run. Really slowed me down. Not sure what went wrong, i had about 5 gels, 1 before the swim, then 4 on the bike. Drank an aero bottle of gatorade and maybe another half a regular bike bottle of gattorade on the bike. Was this excessive?
im not sure if my needing to pee was a result of the stomach pain, i think it was made far worse because of it and i wouldn't have normally needed to stop.

I would think it's quite likely that's your problem. The sugar concentration in your stomach might've gotten too high. You need to "dilute" all that sugar with water. The rule of thumb is to wash down your gels/bars, etc. with water. I'm sure others'll chime in here as well.
