Nutrition Books Can't Post

Searching the previous threads with the key words returns 26 pages of threads that are related to trraining, weight loss, nutrition, race plans and strategy all mixed together. There wasn't anything SPECIFIC ONLY for nutrition except for some people mentioning textbooks. Any recommendations or comments for the following...

I've just finished reading the first one in your list (M.Ryan), could be entitled : "nutrition for dummies".
If you have absolutely no idea about nutrition, or common sense, you can buy it.... otherwise you'll find as much or better information on the web...

What you will find in Monica Ryan's book :
Test your nutrition during training before competing...
If you wan't to know how much you've sweat during exercice, weight yourself before and after...
...and so on...

Waow... thank you, ma'm....

First an third one are your best bet. They're both fairly simple and straight forward with basic information. I think Monique's is the lower level of the two. The other two books are really college text books and most of the information in them isn't related at all or Nutrition.

Exercise Physiology: Energy, Nutrition, and Human Performance --- this is what my undergrad ex phys class used as a textbook. It's not a nutrition book. It's an ex phys textbook.

If it is practical sports nutrition you want, Monique Ryan's book is really good.

If it's a textbook you want, this is the one we used for my Nutrition for Sports and Exercise class - same authors as the ex phys book -
