You might want to check the Nike online store. Last I looked they had them, plus if you look around you can find coupon codes around...

Re: Nike Lunar trainer [dw67] [In reply to] Can't Post

I product tested the Lunar Racer and have been wearing them since February. Every race I've worn them in, 5K-2 half marathons-duathlons, has been without socks. Not a single problem even in the longer races. They almost feel better without socks as if the foam is molding to your foot.

Re: Nike Lunar trainer [In reply to] Can't Post

Found a local shop with the Lunar Trainers and picked them up last night. First impression:

1. Cushioning was less then my previous shoes, Nike - Vomero's version 1 and version 3.
2. Stability ironically felt more stable due to the wide sole.
3. The toe box is really-really wide.

Ran 9 miles at just above a 7 minute pace in some light rain on roads. Post run thoughts I really liked the shoes. The cushioing in the mid foot back to the heel was much greater then I initially thought. The fore foot cushioning was about the same as the vomero. The shoes do have a very "springy feel" like others have mentioned. I did not realize how light these shoes are and was amazed how fleet of foot they felt. Despite the rain they still felt light.

I will definitely being wearing these at IMF. My biggest concern is how the sole will wear since they do not seem to have much carbon rubber. I will use them sparingly until IMF and then train exclusively in them to see how the sole holds up.

Thanks to the others who have posted their thoughts on the shoe.

Peace,
RF
