New wheel technology that actually works Can't Post
Check out the rear hub this small company have put together. I have bought one, and yes, it actually does what they say it does. And no, I am not sponsored or linked up with them in any way. Interesting. I don't think a large company would bother with this sort of innovation.

Interesting. This similar to one of the "benefits" of the Chris King rear hub. In the case of the CK, the freewheel engages much sooner to the traditional pawl design. It looks like this company has done CK one better with the instant engagement.

It is definitely a cool idea, but I really don't think it matters, at all. It is nice though to see a small company coming up with these products though. They have some interesting looking wheels.

Very intriguing. I wonder how durable it is. And their wheels seem pretty decent as well. Hmm....

It's a strange sensation when you first pedal it. There is no 'hang' in your pedal action. I can't better explain it, but it does work. When I talked to him, he said that he has the patents on the hub, and a few 'major' usa companies were in negotiation with him regarding using it in their wheels. He may have been pulling my leg, but he showed me prototypes form the last 5 years, before he came up with this marketable design. All I can say is it works, and I think it is more effecient.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly believe that it works. I also wouldn't be too suprised to see companies interested in it. It's just my understandind that this technology would only have an impact on the first pedal revolution after a break in pedaling. I just wonder what the real world benefit would be. Still cool though.
