NYC Tri Club Can't Post

I made it to the big city. I'm a New Yorker (by geography only). I was looking for a Tri Club to join that will enable me to meet some people, but I have found several clubs, and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions.
Green Asphalt - Great pool, but they have an alternative agenda beyond triathlons
SBR - VERY $$$$$
TANCY - I don't see anyone in Central Park with support jerseys, so really how many people actually belong to this group?
Tri Terrier - Same as TANCY
Tri Life - All over Central Park, but they seem to be organized by a coaching plan, I already have a coach

Thoughts?????

Asphalt Green and Terrier Tri are both very active clubs (my bias is for Terrier Tri!) Unfortunately, I don't think TANYC is active any longer. Tri Life is very active but aimed at specific races I beleive.

I think both ag and terrier tri will let you join a few workouts before you commit if you let them know you're thinking of joining. You'd hate to join one only to discover you don't like anyone there.

Terrier Tri is a good group of people with about 150 members i believe. My wife and I both compete and she is a member. I have not joined due to the fact that the group runs/bricks don't really work with my schedule. They have great race support for team races and a lot of social events. It is a good club especially if you already have a program that you are using. If you are looking for group runs/bikes/bricks and a social environment i would highly recommned this club.

Their membership runs on the calandar year so don't join until January.
