I still think he is going to be getting his teams stickers on the frame. Look at his helmet, the Giro is gone and in its place is his teams sponsor stickers

You don't need a good TT bike.. or at least not the best. Look at Chrissie Wellington last year in Kona.
uh, chrissie wellington was on a p2c, which
is
one of the best production tt bikes in the world.

No clue. I just know that I saw TJ at a race recently and he had a Transition.

IIRC correctly its a TYR ad right? Well they probably had a shoot on that day in that location for a number of industry-related products, but not specifically Kuota bikes. Maybe they had some Profile Design aerobars on it for another shoot (Paul Thomas?), then they had this guy jump on the same bike for his TYR ad, then perhaps another for a Continental ad, etc, so anything not intentionally advertised would be hidden or photo-shopped out...like the Kuota badges. Just my 2c...

That is a ridiculous statement. I'm not a Kuota rider so i'm not defending my steed. Yea that bike is sooo slow. Have we forgotten that the bike course record of 4:18 @26mph was set upon a Kuota 2 years back? So if he rides 2 seconds faster in another year on a different frame will you all say "see the Kuota was a terrible aerodynamic bike."? It's the legs, not the bike.

yea i believe thats the add... your reasoning could be, makes sense that they could have photo-shopped the brand name off the bike... its clearly a Kuota and that was the second unbadged one ive seen this yr, cant remember the first though

I think the statement that its poor on the aerodynamics is somewhat true, as the only time it saw the windtunnel was after it was already in production...so I am sure going against other frames that were developed in the windtunnel, it would perform poorly.
But yes, it isnt the bike, its the rider.

Once his 1088gram frame was built for KONA, it weighed only 15.7lbs. Light enough for most.....

I will always say that there were 2 elements that put KUOTA on the map:
1. Normann winning Kona in 2004, scorching the KUEEN K Hwy on his Kalibur. Normann is one of a few triathlete that have the ability to sell bikes, and that is by riding the hell out of the bike leg.
2. Cervelo and a few of the other brands could not deliver bikes in 2005. From there, Kuota was born.
To answer the TJ question, he was given a Kueen K to test. He was never a KUOTA sponsored athlete, but cross my fingers to work with him someday. TJ has tons of talent, personality, and most importantly is availavble for his sponsors....while he rides the hell out of his bike!

I'm sorry folks, it was just a (poor) joke.
Folks have been complaining here about lack of delivery of Transitions for the last few months....
... I have no idea what TJ does or does not currently ride.
Carry on, as you were, smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
Whomever signs Normann is going to be PSYCHED. If he can ride that Kuota that fast, imagine when he's on an even more aero framed bike?

There are a lot of things preventing him winning again and design of the bike is not the first thing on the list. Lets start with his giant ego. He has to tame that first and then he might reach the class of others.
The class of others? What class would that be? 3+ time Ironman World Champions? Which would, be, what 3 guys, currently?
Or am I missing the sarcasm in this post?

At IM 70.3 KS? If so, me too. He was there a week ago w/ a Specialized Transition. Too bad. He used to ride a Guru Crono (my bike).

I bet Norman will be on a Cervelo for Kona. Cervelo has extra money now that Bjorn left and they would love to have the Kona Bike split record I know Norman can do it.

It doesn't look any better or wore than the Kalibur and it worked just fine for him.
Note, not a knock on Kuota - just a general comment: I don't know much about the physics of bike aerodynamics, but I do know that looks can be deceiving. There are more than a few bikes out there that look aerodynamic, but once tested, suddenly are not so aerodynamic compared th the real winnners in the category.

Thanks for the response Normann.
Now let the speculation begin! Slap a 1080 rear wheel and some aerobars on this bad boy and I think Normann's got world championship #3 wrapped up.
