Keep Barbara Warren in your thoughts Can't Post

Some of you may have read already about Barbara Warren's terrible accident during the Santa Barbara Triathlon. It is very sad situation indeed and we all should keep Barbara and her husband Tom in our thoughts.

Barbara and Tom are true pioneers and legends of our sport, as well as fantastic individuals. Our hearts and prayers go out to both of them, wishing them strength in this time of challenge. The entire triathlon world is behind you both. Jodee & Barry.

I didn't know her, but I hate these stories. I hope she can recover. I'll be thinking of her.

I raced with her at an Eco-Challenge a long, long time ago. Saw her in transition that morning and then didn't hear of the accident 'til after the race. She's a corner stone to the truly hardcore multisport world and I'll have another good thought for her tonight.

You are correct, it is sad indeed even when you don't know who it is.

Barbara's injury is very serious and she and Tom really need to receive as many positive thoughts as possible.

Barbara helped me, informally and with an impact she probably wasn't aware of (or maybe she was), to reach one of my major athletic goals, and has really helped several people I am close to, casually as well as professionally over the years - this is a really sad situation. We're thinking positive thoughts and I hope there is something people can do to help at some point - Herbert, please keep us posted as you are able.

Herbert, this is so sad. Please pass on my best wishes for Barbara's recovery, if you speak to Tom.

I will keep her in my prayers. This put my recent accident in perspective and I am truly thankful I came away with only a broken collar bone.
