At the first IM South Africa in Port Elizabeth (when it was a 1/2), they had bottles of South African wine with the race logo on them in the race packet. I thought this was an awesome touch. Maybe for Jamaica, you could have bottles of rum with the race logo on them? Also, live music at the finish. Maybe a post race bbq with Jerk sauce on the meats?

Olympic distance is great. But I think more people would be willing to travel for something a bit longer. There are enough halfs and its hard to compete with IM-branded 1/2's now. Phuket distance is great - 1-mile swim, 34-mile bike, 8-mile run. Or even 1-mile swim, 25-mile bike, 9-mile run would be really great and not much harder to put on than a standard Olympic distance race.
