I got reports that some folks were getting sea sick out there... Did the waves pick up and blast the slower folks on the 2nd loop of the swim?

That wouldn't surprise me at all. I saw the ocean after I took the bike pics, and was ready to go out surfing. I was just out on the run course doing a lite run and the seas were defiantly bigger than this morning.
The Gulf was not as flat as projected for the second half o' da swim.

That makes more sense now. I was tracking a couple of friends and both of their 2nd loops were more than 10 minutes slower than the 1st loop. One of them pulled out due to sea sickness, which just about made me sick to my stomach to hear.

How was the heat and wind today?

"Just a Guy" was puking his guts out at the finish of the swim. Considering the volume of gastric fluid he ejected orally over multiple episides and in plain view of the many observers on the beach, he must have injested a considerable portion of the Gulf after the cannon went off... Credit to him for hanging in and finishing in 16:52:47 Glad he managed to finish after all the laughs he gave me at the end of his swim :) As the saying goes... HTFU
