IMAZ '09 registration

Has anyone registered for Ironman Arizona 2009 yet. I went through the steps at Arizona in April to get my confirmation number and was instructed to complete the registration on active.com between Mat 1-15. I can't find any info on active.com relating to IMAZ '09 registration.
Has anyone gone through the process yet and know what to do? Thanks
And why did they schedule the race the week before Thanksgiving?

I registered last week and got an e-mail confirmation number from Active ... that should be good. NAS doesn't have the 2009 race participants up yet ... I suspect that won't be until after the November race.
Why is it 1 week before Thanksgiving??? ... probably so we aren't so bloated as we would be after Thanksgiving. Personally, I would have liked it to stay in April ... but that obviously didn't matter!

There will be registration in November as well, right?? Hope so! I think it's great there is another Fall race (aside from IMFL)- training in Chicago doesn't exactly allow for early Spring rides and open water swims, and I certainly don't want to log ALL of my miles/time inside to prepare for April- ugh.

Thanks that's the information I was looking for; i'm in! Why does it show a date of Monday November 23, 2009 as the race date? Assume just an error.

No, as part of the switch to Nov., the Pima Indians required the race to be held on Monday.... :)
That's the 2008 Nov date, must not have changed it to the 22d for next year

There is registration at the November race onsite for participants on the day before the race and onsite others the day after the race. If any spots remain, they will go online. The policy is on the ironmanarizona.com website. There weren't many people around when I signed up on Monday and I'd actually been a participant this year, so I could have signed up on Saturday. I guess we won't know until November as this is a strange transition signup, but I suspect there will be online signup as well .... my best guess.

I went to the onsite reg. in April and had no problem activating and paying for it on May 1st.

What are people's thoughts on being able to register online after the Nov race?
I'm thinking about going down (from Colorado) and volunteering and entering the day after the race. But it'd be nice to be able to enter online.
Am I dreaming?

I believe 2009 IMAZ is all sold out. Registration for 2009 opened immediately after the April race.

Given two opportunities for volunteers and participants to sign up for
one race, I'm guessing that the online registration will be slim to none.

It is true that it opened right after the April race, however, it did not stay open. Registration for Nov 2009 will re-open, as stated above, the day before for participants, on site the day after (or day of?) for volunteers, and everyone else after that. Then, if there are any spots left (I doubt it, but look what happend in Canada) it will open to online registration.
