Home made lighting set ups? Can't Post

With the days getting darker sooner, I'm starting to think about mounting some lights on my commuter bike. I'd like to get the brightest possible light. The $300 systems may be plenty bright but that's way too expensive. Has anyone come up with a home brew solution? I was thinking of mounting a plate or a bar to my bike and using two 55W off road flood lights with a big 32 amp-hour battery. There are no street lights where I live and commute.

Let's see what you got.

Got to http://forums.mtbr.com/ and check out the "Bike Lights" forum. Those guys are serious about their DIY bike lights.
