Easton Attack bars for IM distance- feeback
Can't Post
Thinking of getting Easton Attack bars for my Felt DA because not too many 26mm clamp size options. I am 5'8" and planning on the medium size. Also primarily Ironman distance, anyone have feedback on the comfort of the bars for IM's. Thanks

I'm using Easton Attack TT's and find them really comfortable, but I also changed out the stock pads (which are paper thin, think wetsuit thick...) to Cee Gee's and those are superb.
As it happens, I'm 5'8" and use Mediums.

I have them and I love them but I changed out the pads and the armrests. I rode them with ceegees for a long time with really no problems.

IMO they run really small. I would want to compare the M and L personally before buying. I bet you go for a L. Mine are getting mounted next week hopefully.

I just did my first iron-distance race on them. Like others, I changed out the armrests and pads. I use Profile F-19 armrests. They work great. Enough people seem to be doing this that I have to wonder why Easton hasn't caught on and done a re-design. Maybe they have.
I love the bars ... and they're great for doing an aerobar bottle mount setup.

I have them (with altered armrests) on a Felt B2 pro. Very comfortable....and matches, too.

I am using Easton Attack TT for Ironman Arizona on Sunday. They seem pretty comfortable, I will let you know after the race. I am almost in the exact same boat as you, I am also 5'8" and ride a Felt B2. The Easton's are extremely sweet bars, I took almost a pound off my bike by switching the stock Vision bars for these. Changing pads is a must, the stock pads are super thin, I got the Cee Gee's, very thick and comfy. By the way I ride size large, they run small.

I have them and love them. I used them at IMC with no problems at all. I didn't change out the pads because I really like the stock ones but I could definitely see why people would not like them as they're pretty minimal. They definitely run small. I'm a 5'5.5" woman and use the M.

Once you have your position dialed in these have to be one of the best. They have to be the stiffest and lightest bars out there. Im 6'2" 175lbs and when I get out of the saddle and crank it on climbs; no flex at all. I use the large bars but you have to get other pads. I think that easton uses them just because they are light.

Is it possible to adjust the width of the elbow/forearm pads or are you stuck in a stock position?

I use Profile F-19 armrests.
Do the F-19's fit the Attack TT without modification?

why not get the new felt aerobars that are specc'ed on thier 09 DA? They should be available aftermarket pretty soon. it is still fairly light at 565g and looks much more comfortable.

true, and available in aluminum. I crash my TT bike about once a season for one reason or another and i wouldn't want to have to switch out a cracked carbon bar every time.

Another vote for the large size. I'm about your height and medium was way too short. It all kinds of depends on your setup and preference for where the pads make contact with your arms but I couldn't stand the mediums.

Thanks for the reply but also crap....i went with the mediums. So you tried out the mediums and didn't like them? Where they too narrow and/or too short? Do you do long course races? Thanks
