Creaky Frame Can't Post

My current road bike is a circa 1995 Specialized lugged carbon frame. It has started to get creaky. I thought it was loose crank arms at first and removed them, cleaned them up and reinstalled them nice and tight.

It still creaks and I mean every pedal stroke. I am wondering if anyone knows how good the Specialized warranties are. I am the original owner of the bike and it only has maybe 10,000 km on it.

Has anyone had this problem with their bikes (any models) and had the company warranty it?

Thanks!

Frames generally don't creak unless they're cracked or something is seriously wrong.

In my experience, it's the bottom bracket that creaks 99 times out of 100. Re-install and if it still creaks... replace your BB (<20$ for a new square taper BB) to isolate the problem before shipping your nice frame out.

I had a creak so bad that we nicknamed my bike 'creaky'. All sound seem like it comes from the bottom bracket even if they don't. Mine was headset... I suggest trying to narrow things down.

1) Try a buddies set of wheels.
2) Swap pedals, if you have an extra set.
3) Swap cranks if possible.

Basically you want to try to isolate the sound to see if it really the frame.

In addition:
Check your seat clamp. Pull your seat post, clean, inspect, grease and reinstall. That was the source in my '93 stumpjumper.
chainring bolts too.

Sound echoes around like mad inside a frame. I had a rattle in my road bike that I thought was the headset but it turned out to be the rear axle...
