Bontrager Disk Can't Post

What is the deal with these? They aren't listed on the bontrager website, and I got nuthin' on a goole search for "bontrager disk". Do they really exist? I know Gordo is riding one, and that guy from Texas.

Any Trek Dealer should be able to order one for you, as long as Trek has them in stock. As Bontrager is owned by Trek, they are the exclusive nationwide distributor.

Re: Bontrager Disk [CCF] [In reply to] Can't Post

Bontrager recently updated their website, and for some reason no longer list their disc. It was on the old website. Anyways, it was kind of a specialty item that they got just for Lance, and didn't sell many of them. Why? Because it is a Zipp disc with a marked up price. I spoke with my shop's Trek rep about it, and sure enough, they source them from Zipp and put their name on it. To make any decent margin, they have to mark up the price.

It's a great disc (because it is a Zipp), but you don't see too many of them around. It wasn't worth Bontrager's while to do the R&D necessary to engineer their own for such a specialized product.
