Bike rental in France (Paris or Alps) for the Tour Can't Post

Anyone know where I can rent some road bikes in Paris or near the Alps (have some flexibility of where to pick up)?... plan to cruise around and do some riding during the tour... I will probably need 3-4

Any other hot tips from people who have spectated the tour via RV would be appreciated as well

Thanks!

I know you specifically stated Alps, but if you have any interest in the Pyrenees, check out http://www.pyreneesmultisport.com/

They do a fantastic job and have great bikes, accommodations.

seems to me that the Tour isn't in the Alps much this year-BUT come ride anyway.

I live in France so not such a bad trip for me... but the idea is to spectate a few stages and spend the rest of the time hanging out and riding (hence the need for bikes)

anyone done the rental thing?

Dev rents bikes in Grenoble so you can check with him. I can check here-Annecy- at my local bike shop if you want. The tour seems to be doing many stages in Auvergne where we come from. If you want to rent a bike there and watch several stages I can send you names of shops and some local triguys. I love the riding in the Auvergne-less traffic, beautiful paysage, wonderful people.

Frenchfried,
Thanks a lot for the offer... if you could ask around Annecy I would really appreciate it - we could easily go through that area on the way there and back to pick up bikes

I'll check out the other area you mentioned... not sure how it will fit into our schedule though

thanks again
