Have been really happy with how my LBS handled this. They sent an email soon after I saw it posted here, asked people to come in or call to schedule a time.
I took my SLC-SL in yesterday, dropped it off in the morning and picked it up that afternoon. It might help that they have a significant volume of sales in Cervelo, so they have the forks ready to go.

I am happy for you... US Cervélo customers are well taken care of.
Here in Benelux Cervélo only offers Easton EC90 SLX fork in replace. I know this fork and don't like it... even more, it looks ugly in SLC and SLC-SL frames. I would not have bought my SLC-SL frame (note: by far the most expensive large production frame on the market) if it came with a fork like this: it does not look aerodynamic and does not match the style of the frame. Stricly according to belgian customer law Cervélo can not make it to replace my Wolf SL by something else than a 3T fork.
I hope they change their mind, because I can not accept this recall making my bike with a 4100-euro-frame (!!) looks stupid. I know quite a lot SLC riders who are furious about this and will not accept; as well some of my friends are doubting if they will still buy Cervélo's... so, I really hope they come up with an acceptable solution.
A replacement on a SLC with Easton gaves this:

I'm glad yo uare getting some joy from Primera with your fork, frankly I am getting bugger all service from them over the Keo recall. Currently, I have made 8 calls to them to give them the info, what it's about, which are affected, what Look are doing, getting Alex to give an estimated timespan, follow up calls and now I get told he's on holiday and not one other person in the shop can help!
The amount of staff there that are helpful begs belief. Mark is the only person that will ring back although all will take your number and promise but never call back. Pathetic customer service!

Hello Gerard and All,
Kudos to
Cervélo!
For taking responsibility and taking action on the True Temper SL fork recall.
Got my bike today - was ready in 24 hours at Nytro.
Great service.
The 3T fork worked great today. Looks like it came with the bike.
Thanks to all. :)
Cheers,
Neal

Indeed, that's why Benelux SLC-riders are waiting for Cervélo to bring an acceptable solution for our expensive frames. We can not live with that and most SLC and SLC-SL-riders here will thus continue to ride Wolf SL fork (since no real replacement is given).

The recall is going smoothly. We have options for Cervelo customers that do not have an extra bike to ride. We anticipate a quick turn around for all. We haven't had complaints, only happy customers.

I must say I was gutted when I received the Newsletter from Cervelo. There is no dealer on the Island, and I had to import my bike from the USA. Obviously sending the bike back is not an option. I have contacted Cervelo directly, and hope to receive a reply today. I agree with comments that the Easton EC 90 looks terrible on the frame. I would prefer the EC 90 SL Aero.

I would actually like the choice between the 3T and EC90 Aero as well for the SLC.

As said before, untill now I feel more like smashed in the face by this recall...
I've spent a lot on an SLC-SL frame and after about 6 months all Cervélo does is telling me they do not warranty the Wolf SL fork they sold me and only replacement fork is the EC90 SLX that looks UGLY on my expensive frame!! How can you guys be enthousiast about what Cervélo is doing? I really hope they come up with a 3T fork to restore the looks of my bike soon (though everything shows they won't) and I don't have to force them to do so through legal matters... I hope I can find a solution.

Just to clarify - the 3T on the P3 is NOT part of this recall correct? The photo of the P3 on their website shows a Wolf fork - but I'm assuming this was a 48 frame - according to the specs its the only size that uses the Wolf?

It's only the WOLF SL fork. See their website:

Except for the shipping costs and import duty. As someone said before, it seems like US-based customers are being well looked after, while those in Europe, and us in the rest of the world will end up paying more and not get a suitable solution. I don't have a dealer in the country, which makes it frustrating. What service are you getting? Cervelo promised to reply to my query within a day which they haven't. Almost like they didn't think they'd have a few problems on Monday morning?

I had informed him of exactly what you showed and he was not interested. Damn for an extra $70 you can get the team fork from 3T which is a Weight Weenie fork to go with the build and lighter than what he would have now.
I personally would do what you are saying if I was in his shoes which thankfully I am not.

I took my sl fork into my local shop in U.S. and they gave me a replacement on the spot- I like to do my own work- so I will install myself. Now there are approximately 5,800 forks that are being recalled- and even if they increased tempory staff - there's going to be delays for any company- let alone a smaller company- like Cervelo- to be super responsive in the first week or so of a recall. I would think a bit of patience would be helpful. I am impressed- that I received a direct email from Cervelo about this and the place that I bought it from (out of state- 1,400 miles away) sent me a letter that I received today giving me instructions on what to do- if I wanted to use their services for the recall.
On a different point- they have had a couple recalls already and probably know the drill- 1 inch all carbon wolf fork, R2.5 frame, and current SL fork

I meant that they didn't reply to my email within the time they said they would, but soon after I posted that message, I received an email from Tim at Cervelo telling me what my options are. Most of the people in the thread who are complaining are not in the USA, (BENELUX meaning the European countries Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg) and seem to be getting no option but to accept Easton forks.
I am travelling to Monaco 70.3 next week, and will try to get a local dealer to do the replacement for me a couple days before the race. I don't care if I have to pay, it's simply whether I can find forks which suit the frame!!!

Easy said, wiseguy, and even more friendly with that arrogant tone in your post... But have you really thought twice about what you're saying? SBR sells the funda fork for under 200 euros- so you are in luck.
I have a friend who is trying to sell his brand new EC90 SLX fork for months now, and did not get rid of it for 200 euro's. I sold one before at merily 230 euro's. And do you think things will get easier if all Benelux SLC-riders throw their SLX on eBay (and there are a lot of them being furious about this replacement fork)? So why should I pay an EXTRA 200 euro's or more to get the fork that rightfully belongs to my frame? All that after I spent thousands of euro's on my SLC-SL frame?
And I haven't talked about the delay for spare 3T forks. Riding my SLX meanwhile will even decrease it's value so they amount I will have to pay to restore the frame will even go up.
Spend more time thinking about what your write (I know it's not easy and requires some effort, but give it a try) and less about being the arrogant wiseguy! ;)
so are all the benelux riders with slc's/p3s going to be dumping their frames on ebay b/c of a fork mismatch? if so, let me know- and i will take one of them off your hands. Anyway- the SBR link sells the funda fork for 180 euros...

Not that lucky here in Chicago.
The dealers don't know how to handle it. I'm not being critical, that's just what they said. One dealer whom I spoke with in detail is still waiting for the express ship boxes that are to come from Cervelo.
Once they have the boxes, they are hoping for about a 3-5 day turn around. This counts me droping off the bike, the LBS taking off my fork, boxing it, shipping it to C, then getting the replacement fork from C, installing it on my bike, me picking it up.
Sounds a touch like a PITA for everyone involved, but I guess that's how recalls go.

sounds like you need to find a new shop...one that isnt full of a bunch a lazy sloths...i mean how hard is it to go down to the ups store or ask the ups driver for an express pack or box...im sure the cervelo dealers in chicago see the ups man a few times a week, if not every day...
pita? at max this process takes 10 minutes...record serial number and fork serial, enter into Cervelo recall database, put it in a box/express bag, print off customs papers (that are auto generated) and UPS and Cervelo take care of the rest...oh yeah, put it back on the bike when you get the new fork back...sure the cutting and gluing the fork takes a few minutes...
tired of hearing customers and shops complain...seems like the good shops have done a good job, the poor shops a poor job...i would recommend finding a good shop...if they are this lazy or incompetent, Im sure it sums up the entire business...
