Bike Shoes and Pee Can't Post

Anyone have any good remedies for getting the urine smell out of your bike shoes?

I do I do. Soak your shoes in a bucket of water for 10 minutes then set out in the direct sun. Make sure that you remove the insoles.

Or at least allow the soles to dry separately.

Depends on if you packed your shoes after an IM without doing this...then it takes about 5 of those at least to get the smell out..

There are none. Once pee'd in, they will never be the same.

I'd recommend water/bleech (VERY saturated) mixture and hand wash. Then soak in water. After fully drying, spray Fabreeze. But, they will never be the same. Rather nasty.

I've had luck with running pee-dank shoes through the dishwasher.

Have a cat pee on them and admire how much better they smell.

Put a sheet that you use in your clothes dryer - in each shoe!
Leave them in a sunny spot.

Works on funky smelling helmets as well.
