Best road fork?
Can't Post
My new Lemond OCLV/steel frame just arrived. It's a beauty and will replace my aluminium TCR frame.
Can't use the Giant TCR fork since it's 1" and the Lemond is 1 1/8" steerer.
Thinking of getting a Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork. Seems like a good choice?
Any other suggestions to be considered?

Get the Reynolds. Might take a look at Easton's forks as well but Reynolds is a killer fork and you won't regret the purchase.
I sell both, let me know if you are interested in either.

Not all forks have the same dimensions (height, rake, etc.). Match the dimensions of the fork with the needs of the frame. Call Lemond and see what they recommend as far as replacements go. If the fork is too long or too short, it will change the handling of the frame. Ditto rake changes vis a vis original spec.
that said, the Ouzo Pro is a great fork ... I've got two ... one on an eddy Merckx and one on a Steelman.

Do you not like the stock Bontrager fork?
There are quite a few nice forks on the market. Just make sure you get the correct one for your riding style.
Also, I would stick to the same rake as the stock fork for your Lemond frame size. I think it's 45deg. for most
or
all sizes in steel/oclv line.

Ouzo Pro, I put one on my aluminum Pinarello and it felt great compared with the stock carbon fork.

Ouzo Pro Lite -- Matte finish. Some other nice forks out there, but you cant go wrong with Reynolds.

When you come to a fork in the road...take it.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but that one is scarey. Please tell me that's not a Reynolds Ouzo Pro.

It is 45, the same as the TCR fork. The Reynolds also is available in 45. I have a line on a new 43 for a psalm. Do you think that 2mm will make that much difference?

I'll also add a rec for the Ouzo Pro - very siff, durable and reasonably light.

It's not just rake you should look at ... also, fork height. Not all forks are the same height. This is especially true for carbon forks.
Realistically, 2 mm won't make that much difference. But, 2 mm less rake plus (or minus) a cm in height could change the front end geometry quite a bit resulting in a bike that handles oddly at high speeds.

If I were building a new road bike I would pick the new Look HSC 5 SL first and the Easton EC90 SLX second.

I second the geometry warning , I have a " Look "carbon fork ,that has less rake than the original . At high speed scary fast response steering. Get a bit of curve on the bottom , straight blades-raked out ride a bit harder.
