Best bike/ski rack - what's your favorite? Can't Post

Moving to Colorado and need a bike and ski rack. I have been without one since I bought my new car. I have a 2005 Honda Accord. Thinking of a trailer-hitch style, but would have to get a hitch setup. I have a 2007 CR-V, too and it would be nice to get a hitch on it to make the rack able to go on either. I would like a rack that can carry skis as well. Don't want a trunk rack, but would consider a roof rack. Best bang for the buck, but I want something quality, not cheap that will break or suck to use.

While we're at it, any recommendations on a workstand and/or indoor storage rack?

I'm a Yakima guy. Having one rack for both vehicles might be kinda nice, BUT... I eventually ended up shelling out for a separate roof rack for our old Honda (now that we got a new car, though, I'm semi-stuck with the factory rack) and a receiver hitch rack for the truck for a few reasons:

Hitch mount on a small car sucks due to poor ground clearance, especially if you have a larger frame -- since the bike typically hangs from the top tube, the wheels may reach too close to the ground and "stub" your tires going in/out of dipped curb cuts & driveways, etc. Extra truck/SUV height usually solves this.

On the flip side, a roof rack on a taller truck/SUV usually sucks becuase it's a PITA to lift the bike up and fix the mounts, etc, reaching over your head (and often wiping off the side of your cab w/ your nice $300 Gore-Tex jacket in the process). Plus, you may start reaching the upper limit of drive-through clearance. True story: my bro once ripped his MTB halfway off his truck canopy-mounted rack when the handlebar caught a low-hanging branch; broke the fork off at the dropout tabs.

A CRV is at the low end of the SUV size spectrum, though, so I'd go w/ the roofie. More adaptable to buy other mounting accessories for skis, kayaks, unruly children (OK, I kid... sorta), etc.
