Anyone try Triggerpoint Performance Therapy? Can't Post

Triggerpoint Performance Therapy seems to have this kit that they say will help my piriformis pain. Has anyone tried their stuff? Whats the deal?

I have the whole kit (2 rollers, block and ball) and I really like it. It isn't as good as a sadistic RMT, but it's the next best thing.

I own the entire kit, and have been using it regularly since 2004, when I was a part of the Timex Team (which they sponsor). They are particularly useful tools for keeping the body loose and ready to roll, and that's what it's all about.

Happy Independence Day.

Good stuff. I have the kit, it really helps if you have the fortitude the use it right. It can be pretty painful at times (like a good deep-tissue session), but really helps.

I got my wife the starter kit for her PF and achilles tendonitis, and it's been great for her. Good stuff.

My wife uses it and is 100% positive about it. It has resolved all of her IT problems.

I have the full kit also. I mostly use the foot (calf) roller and it got rid of some nagging PF issues.

I was skeptical to buy a $70 rolling pin, esp with no guarantee. But I agree that TPT is the real deal, it has saved me hundreds in therapy costs not to mention time.

best product kit you can buy for piriformis/hip pain. Rocks for IT band, tensor fascia, plantar fasciatis, quad stretching, hip flexor, calves, oh god best stuff in the world. a bit pricey but amazingly well made and effective if used consistantly.

I use it on my achilles tendon, and it's worked wonders for me.

Prior to getting the kit, I had been dealing with recurring achilles tendinitis for 10 years. I got the kit a year ago, and my achilles has been pain-free ever since. It's the only thing that works for me. (Sorry if this sounds like a Trigger Point commercial, but I really am a huge fan.)

Re: Anyone try Triggerpoint Performance Therapy? [dw67] [In reply to] Can't Post

Oh, and if anyone from Hawaii is looking for this stuff we'll be selling it through my magazine "Hawaii Sport Mag" from our next issue on. It's hard to get out here, a bit too boutique for most shops, and based on the fact that I personally can't imagine functioning without it I decided to become a dealer. Anyways, we'll have their stuff in stock soon along with some other cool PT type products and a fun new Hawaii Themed running apparel line. Probalby free Hawaii shipping or some incentive like that as well. Again, this wil be in the Sept-Oct issue of Hawaii Sport Mag.

To those who have no idea what I'm talking about, if you ever visit Hawaii and want to know what's going on with the sports scene, pick up a copy of Hawaii Sports Magazine and consider yourself informed:) 70+ color pages of race calendars, race results, race apps, articles and of course ads. At all Jamba Juices in Hawaii, pretty much every sporting goods store, some libraries and clinics, all over the place basicaly.

I already bought the kit. After such a positive response. I watched the video and did about 30 minutes. It feels like a major league deep tissue massage.

Highly reccomended. If you are having minor to moderate aches and pains that are not responding to other treatment protocols, there is a very good chance that if used propperly, the TP Therapy products will help you get back going.

My wife had been told by two leading sports med docs that she should consider giving up running, due to persistant Plantar Faciitis like pain that she was having last year. A couple of seissons with Cassidy and then a daily regime of using the rollers on each of her calfs had her back running at full strength within a month - this was after 7+ months of almost no running. Came back last fall to finish 9th woman overall at IMFL with a big IM time PR. TP Therapy works!

Joe has been using his kit since 2004. It helped him get over Plantar Fasciitis quickly. He still uses it when needed for muscles that are being stressed in heavy training. He highly recommends it.

I have the whole kit and it seems like a good product, I just haven't figured out how to use it yet.. I wish it came with a better video and/or manual. The video is really basic/easy, doing the exercises in the video does nothing for my aches/pains.

THAT is awesome! Mike Plumb, my coach recommended it to me after Cassidy showed him the ropes. I am anxiously awaiting the full kit I ordered for my PF and hopefully some benefit to my lower back issues too.

Re: Anyone try Triggerpoint Performance Therapy? [dw67] [In reply to] Can't Post

It works immediately. I saw results the next morning. The reason might be because it loosens up your hamstrings. I would not rely on only the TP massage ball however. The best results in managing this problem for me come from strength training. At least twice a week, I do squats, one-leg squats, and hamstring curls. For $15, a foam roller is also worth it and works better than the roller with the TP massage ball kit.

I've used it and continue to use it for Plantar Fascitis. I would suggest it had some effectiveness for me. That, combined with other therapies, certainly relieved my symptoms.

How do you get it to loosen the hamstrings? That seems to me to be the one area I can't hit directly. I can roll the IT band on the side of my leg but I can't figure out how to position myself for a deep hammy massage.
