Way to go Nat. See you soon buddy. I know you will get it done in Kona.

I'm not sure what it takes to be a pro in Canada, but in the US you just cant race as a pro because you are fast. You have to qualify. If he races AG next year, then sure. Of course, I say all of this and know nothing about his history. I have no idea if he raced last year.

jaretj, good work- I just saw this. You have a keen eye for the details.
Sitting here at work, trying not to stand up, as it feels like my legs got jackhammered at IM WIS.

@ ~$550 the training day that is pretty expensive :)

Fred.

If your gonna run 21 , why not just throw in another 1.30-2.00 and get it over with and at least collect your medal and BE AN IRONMAN ?

I'm of the opinion that racing is and can be the best training ( Petr Vabrousek eg. ) , but entering your first IM as a training event for your second IM ,which just happens to be Kona , doesn't make too much sense to me.

Obviously he can cycle , his swim is way the hell up there as well ( IMHO )...so some running isn;t going to kill him , especially when it is at "brick" pace.

My 17 cents :)

Good luck to him , though , it'll be interesting to see what he looks like descending the Queen K towards The NEL.
