3 hard wkouts for 40k TT/week.
Can't Post
If you were training for a 40k TT, what would your 3 hard workouts be, in addition to base riding and sprints. So far I got
1. 35-45 minute TT
2. 8x5min hard 2min EZ
3. 30x1min hard 1-2min EZ
Any other suggestions?

Why three hard workouts per week? Sounds exhausting if you're also doing some distance and have a job or school. Two should be plenty.
If you need another alternative, how about 2x20 minutes?

That plan looks pretty good I assume you are riding 5-6 times per week. You could alternate weekly that 35-45 minut time trial with the 2x20 minutes. The 35-45 minutes is too much weekly with your other workouts. The 30 x1 minutes will give good speed. I do similar sets but will use the trainer for those 1 minute sets and you could alternate that with 2 sets of 10 x1 minutes on/ 1 minute off 5 minutes between sets. I also use resistance with that set for strength or the 5 minutes sets. Do not overlook strength stuff. The sets look good but play around with hills, or strength stuff on the trainer.
