I believe it's CSC that's leaving the team, not Cervelo.

As far as I know CSC is withdrawing their sponsorship of the team, perhaps I'm misinformed?

but I keep hearing about Specialized in '09.

I have also read a rumor that Giant will sponsor Team CSC in 2009 and that Rabobank and Quick Step will switch bike sponsors so Rabobank will be on Specialized and Quick Step on Colnago.

I have also heard this rumor. From a cycling forum:

"Colnago will be leaving Rabo (after how many years?) and sponsoring Quickstep with Specialized switching to Rabo... Cervelo can't pony up for CSC-Saxobank for '09 and it'll be Giant (interesting to see how this plays out, as Riis is the Scandinavian distributor for Cervelo - but a $1M+ for bike sponsorship nowadays, can't see little ol' Cervelo being able to pony up...)"

Would be cool to see Columbia or Garmin riding Cervelo...

Turns out Rabobank wont switch to Specialized, but to Giant: http://velonews.com/...-for-the-2009-season
Maybe that means Saxo Bank will ride Specialized instead.
