Today's training crit
Can't Post
So once per month the training series criteriun has a women's race - only 5 of us were there - but it was great because we worked together....
What was really fantastic for me was seeing how much my bike handling skills have improved since the last one I did (mother's day) - which I attribute to riding my TT bike so much....
I can really corner now!!!
I know, a really small step but I am really pleased.
Now if I can just get my run to improve as much as my bike.....

Great job getting out there and into bike racing. I have to admit that is really intimidating to me. I'm thinking about looking into cyclocross this fall, but crits and road races are still not something I'm ready to venture into. Congrats!

The bike team I joined got the award last year for best women's team because they do such a great time of bringing newbies in - I took an intro to bike racing course with them this spring - it was a blast! they made sure we could deal with 'accidental' contact and felt comfortable in pace lines.....
I like crits cuz they are FLAT!!!

NEBC - northeast bike club
the crit is put on my boston road club
they apparently just started a women's team - so who knows I might join them too!!! but NEBC is known for bringing in newbies - especially women. I did their intro to bike racing clinic and it was fantastic!!!!
finding that the whole racing community is terrific around here.
