Pretzels vs Cheetos Can't Post

Despite my commitment to get back on track I am still in the post Ironman "I'm going to eat everything in sight" phase. Lunch yesterday was a big salad, +1. Today was a veggie sandwich, +1, and fries, -1. I'm still up by 1! Several stops at the vending machine have yielded mixed results. Yesterday it was a granola bar, +1, today is was M&Ms, -1. I decided I had the munchies again so back to the vending machine I went. I need something salty and crunchy. Hmmm.....Doritos? Nope, too much fake stuff. Baked Lays? Nope, pressed and molded potatoes can't be good. Cheetos? Nope, same issue with Doritos. Pretzels? Decent compromise. Low fat, reasonable calories, baked not friend. OK, pretzels it is! Insert 90 cents, bingo! I happily go back to my desk and much on my Cheetos, -1.

Argh! Here come the recovery 5 lbs. They are there, lurking, I know it!

I inhaled an entire bag of Cheetos (the crunchy kind) driving home from Eagleman, then proceeded to consume an entire container of pink frosting with "funfetti". What is that? -200?
You're doing pretty darn good with the salad and veggies, I'd say!

I would have gone Doritos. Doritos are a weakness of mine. They are the only snack product where I could eat the whole bag. I don't buy them except for single size packages for that reason.

And Kitboo- I also have a frosting weakness but mine is for "white". I am not sure how "white" is a flavor but I love it oh so much!

I wonder how many nagative points should be assigned for the entire container of cool whip that I ate after a long ride last weekend? Any offset for vitamin D???

FYI- If they are peanut M&M's, consider it a +0.5

Pink frosting??? Wow! That is awesome! I'm truely impressed with the grossness factor. :-)

I ate more M&Ms last night and busted out the Kettle chips. My hubby and I finished a whole bag of chips between us.

Ugh. I felt pretty gross when I went to bed.

Re: Pretzels vs Cheetos [jenhs] [In reply to] Can't Post

I just love the post-race or post-long workout eating topic... I think it makes me feel better to know that I am not the only one that eats food I would never normally eat! I went for a 4 hour ride the other day and came home completely famished. My husband was cooking up some Vienna hotdogs (one of the drawbacks of being married to someone who just eats whatever they want, whenever they want) and asked me if I wanted one. I immediately said YES! A little mustard, ketchup and a pickle... I scarfed it down! It was SOOOO good. Salty perfection. Just what I needed, I like to think.

I like soft pretzels, but find that the hard ones only really serve as a dip delivery device.

Is that some sort of trick question? ;-D I like the Trader Joe's Cheetos. Since they're from Trader Joe's I don't look at the ingredients and pretend that there's some magical organic version of that alarmingly orange cheese powder...

There are chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting in the kitchen at work. I'm going to go grab my 3rd and a diet coke. Wooot! If you're gonna be bad...be really bad!

Then why the diet coke?

If I had access to a cupcake right now I'd probably eat it - but I like real coke!

I did the Diet in honor of a thread we had a while back about kicking it. I figured the chemicals were what made it so bad since I already had the sugar covered. I've been bouncing around the office all afternoon. I'd go for a run but my leggies won't let me yet!

Gotta find something to do.....AND NOT EAT MORE CUPCAKES!

Fair enough. I just don't like the taste of aspartame...
