1st Tri no wet suit
Can't Post
I am getting ready to do my first tri but I'm not ready to get a wet suit yet. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to run with a bathing suit when you are large busted. Any suggestions?

You can wear regular tri shorts and a tri top instead of a swimsuit (swim in these too). I can't run in just a swimsuit, so a bra top and shorts works well for me.

I'm quite big on top-32DD-so I not only wear tri shorts and a tri top with a built in 360 bra, I also wear a full-support dri-wick bra underneath that (don't forget the glide though). It seems to do well because I don't end up hurting after the run for lack of support, even after an ironman. I see a lot of girls out there wearing a fuller-support bra underneath their regular swimsuit, trisuit or two-pieces . . .

I'm not that big chested but I see lots of women who get a supportive sports bra and wear it under their bathing suit.
I actually used that route after my first child was born and I was "huge" up top due to breastfeeding.

Just wear your sports bra under your swimsuit. That way you'll get the support you need wearing a bra that you're comfortable in.
Most of the "smaller girl" tri tops still don't fit my sports bra under it unless I want my straps exposed. I'd much prefer the exposed straps than have my "girls" wiggling around. Having said that I've has some luck with the 2XU brand as the backs of their jerseys actually cover your back.
Best of luck with your first triathlon.

I just did my first tri, and had a similar problem. After a lot of unsuccessful shopping (and reluctance to squeeze my 36D into a sports bra and tri top) I opted to wear my TYR Water Polo suit. It was awesome!!! Even better support than my sports bras! I threw on a pair of tri shorts after the swim and a jogging shirt (optional, this was for aesthetics). There was no ride-up in the rear either. Here is the link.

I'm even going so far as to send a message to TYR and have them market this suit for triathlons, it was great. Plus, with the wetsuit material and the zipper, it is pretty hot!

Kelly-was this a wetsuit-legal race? If not, then looking at the composition of the suit with neoprene in the top half of the suit, you could be DQ'd for using a "floating device" . . .

Yeah, they were legal, but not needed. They have a no neoprene version called the predator, which I now want to try and see if it works as well.

Nice option for non-wetsuit swims, but not quite as sexy . . . :P
