trouble watching cbc online coverage

Hi,
Has anyone had success streaming the live video from the cbc website? i have been trying to watch some coverage of the games and all i can get is the dumb promo and the video never streams.
Am I doing something wrong?

Are you located in Canada? If not, that's probably the problem, as the TV networks are using geo-IP filtering.

If you are in the US, it is because of license agreements. The NBC internet feed has a better picture.

I live in Canada and can watch NBC online thanks to how Motorola network is setup (I work for Motorola).

Also unless you subscribe to some other service (cable, dish network etc) you are locked out of the online content. I was really bummed at this since i don't watch enough TV to bother with cable but was looking forward to watching sports that will not be shown on broadcast TV.

Just noticed that the OP was talking about CBC not NBC, but to answer Dawns question, unless you subscrible to and NBC affiliate through something like Direct TV for msnnbc etc you cannot view the online content
