iTunes or something else? Can't Post

I do not own an ipod. But I do have quite a bit of music on my PC. Is iTunes worth downloading to manage my music, or would I better off using some other software to manage it?

IMO

Find something that is free.
Find something that will index your music by simply placing it in the following directory structure.
Artist
-- Album
-- Song

Your music will last longer than any other 'organizational' software. Find something simple and don't settle for vendor lock-in. I have nearly a terabyte of music and in fact I use plain ole Windows Explorer.

Zune.

Their latest software is godly. It's so well done I have a hard time believing it's an MS product.

It sold me on buying the hardware.

The podcasts and channels are awesome and I love the subscription model.

You can try it for free.

I've used and owned everything - Itunes, Rhapsody, Yahoo, Wal-Mart - Ipod, Creative, Sansa, etc.
