clients/patients who flirt with you - doctors, lawyers etc

Damn, I sometimes wish it wasn't unethical to reciprocate!

There's nothing unethical about flirting.

Simple solution... fire her (I assume it's a female) as a client.
I hear that's a real turn on. :)

You could always change professions to something such as bartending so it is no longer an ethics issue

Especially since if you do it right, you still get to date her.

Gorsh, just happened to me (again) about an hour and a half ago. Hip films on a good looking young woman who'd banged up her inner thigh in a mountain bike race. Jeez . . . I was really making an effort to protect her modesty and keep her well-covered, but she seemed to have other ideas.
Nothing to do for it but to talk bikes, remind myself that I'm happily married, and try not to turn too red. Not much luck on that last part, though.
Just had a pretty good buzz kill, though, a few minutes ago. (As usual, I'm reporting from work.) Portable chest film on a woman who was approximately 300 lbs and stunk like you would not believe. Still trying to get the smell out of my nostrils.

No pictures, it didn't happen. (and I don't mean x-rays) :P

Hey, I know what you mean, Charlie. In my line of work (~60% patent law) all those hot engineer chicks are always hitting on me. It's tough.
Okay, okay... I almost got it out without laughing.
EDIT to add
Disclaimer (because, as a lawyer, I just can't help myself)
Not to say there aren't hot engineer chicks, but if you're in the business, you know what I mean.

You remember how there were like, 2-3 pretty good looking women at engineering school (for some reason, they tended to be ChemE's)? They must've felt like prom queens for 4 years. They always dated the law students, though. :)

I'm a female doc and can thankfully say I've only been hit on a couple of times by patients. It's odd, uncomfortable, and I've brushed it off like a joke because I'm not sure how to handle it since it usually comes out of nowhere.
More often than not, it's my older patients trying to hook their son up with me ;-)...
"Honey, I don't see a ring on your finger, are you married?"
"No I'm not..."
"Do you have kids?"
"No"
Then they get a mischevious look in their eyes and I know what's coming next... hehe
That was an actual conversation about 2 weeks ago... it was cute ;-)

There will always be patients who wish to push the doctor/patient relationship a little, and unfortunately "boundaries" issues comprise an unfortunate percentage of state board complaints. You never know what's going on in the mind of the patient, and what you see as flirting may wind up as a board complaint. No patient ever complained of their doctor being too professional, so no need to even start down that road. An overtly persistent patient should be referred out of the office. For single practitioners, before dating a former patient review your state rules. Often there is a time period after dismissing the patient that must pass before you're "safe". This has been a public service announcement from your friendly state board. You will now be returned to your regular programming.

If I remember correctly, fulla's a lawyer. Nothing unethical about lawyers flirting with clients.

AFAIK there is no law against flirting, but here in Ontario a health care professional can lose their licence should it go beyond that.

That's an entirely different matter... which is why I said "[t]here is nothing unethical about flirting." Of course, as squid pointed out, it probably DOES depend on the nature of the relationship. I can see how a therapist or psychiatrist might breach ethics by flirting with a client. MDs and Lawyers? I doubt it. Now, if it progresses past that point, then yeah; there's likely an ethics problem.
