What is with everyone having such "profound" email footers? Can't Post

Some of the gayer ones I have seen include:

“Don’t let your journey be defined by history, let your journey make history.” Bill Cowher

"You're not a loser. You're just not my kind of winner..."

"There is advantage in the wisdom won from pain" -- Aeschylus

"In my failures, I saw the darkest part of myself, where I was weak, where expectations did not meet reality. Until you face your fears, you don't move to the other side, where you find the power." -- Mark Allen

"However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results." - Winston Churchill

And, of course ANYTHING by Lance Armstrong.

Were the "gayer" ones the ones that made you most happy? Most at one with yourself and your fellow man?

Doubt it. Perhaps you just crawled out of a humid little swamp where they have neither culture nor tolerance.

Edit to remove personal insult (probably correct though): congratulations on your open mind.

"you homophobic idiot."

Careful, Josef...there are some folks around here who get their little feelings hurt when you call them names...even if the names fit.

and btw, you lost me at 'gayer', you homophobic idiot.

Just because he used the term "gayer" does not mean he his homophobic. In today's society it has become common place for the term "gayer" to be used as a synonym for stupid or dumb. Many of us have grown up with that term constantly used and it has become ingrained in our heads to mean stupid and not have any real reference to anyones sexual preference. I have heard many a gay man use the term "gay" when refering to something dumb or stupid. It isn't an excuse for the term; however, you should not condemn someone as homophobic based solely on the use of this term.

Does this mean that I can call african-americans "niggers" because they use that word themselves?

(If this doesn't get this thread in the Lavender Room, nothing will...)
