I think we'll agree that with few exceptions, none of us ended up becoming what we dreamed about as kids. So, what did you want to be...and what did you become.

Marine biologist or horse trainer.
I watch a lot of animal planet/discovery, I was a horse trainer (but I like to live above the poverty line). I'm a banker. Is it too late for trophy wife? Don't answer that, you'll make me cry.

Wanted to be a sailor. three uncles were in the navy, my grandfather was on the Tennesse in Pearl Harbor.
I was a sailor, i loved that life.
Now, construction manager, not so bad.

I like mine better. Granted one was totally douchey on his reality show, but he's done a mea culpa since then and he's so darn cute. Plus, he can cook. I like that in a man, but never seem to find it.

Career Navy did it for 8yrs.
Got out went back for more school.Now I build them let someone else sail them. Now Naval Architect.

Pilot--almost made it, but couldn't pass the eye test. I was a USMC A-6 Bombardier/Navigator until medical issues grounded me. Now I'm just a pencil pusher.

Airline pilot or pro golfer.
My eyes are bad and my putting sucks, so I settle for flying little airplanes for the fun, and golfing with other weekend hacks when I get the chance.

I like what I do, but it would be so much cooler to be a fighter pilot. There are so many negatives to being a cop ... but it's the only thing I know how to do and it has (for better or worse) become part of who I am.

Actually, my son was accepted into the USMC flight training program--he has 20/10L / 20/15R vision. He opted to become a cop instead.

Wanted to be:
It goes in phases.
Veterinarian, marine biologist, anesthesiologist (god only knows why a 9 year old would dream of that), meteorologist
I'm still not growed up yet, but I'm thinking I'll end up an Emergency Medicine doc...
