Was Cheney hunting illegally? Can't Post

There are some reports that Cheney's hunting party had not purchased any licenses for hunting, thereby violating the law. Any truth to this?

He had a valid hunting license but neglected to buy the $7 upland birds stamp. Not sure if a stamp is required to shoot another human.

He is surrounded by sercret service, local police, and a variety of other law enforcement personnel and they forget to get him a stamp for hunting?

Right, he didn't have a lawyer tag. Apparently, his staff asked for all needed permits and wasn't told about the $7 bird stamp. Since it is such a new requirement the Texas wildlife board is not fining those hunters without the stamp, only handing out warnings, as they did with Cheney. He has since paid the 7 bucks.
