Vasectomy Time
Can't Post
So it's time for me to get a vasectomy. Any experiences you wouldn't mind sharing might be appreciated. What can I expect? I'm getting a no scalpel open ended version.
Thanks....I think.

You'll probably get a wide number of replies regarding post op. Everything from t'aint nuthin to it felt like an elephant was standing on my balls. Fortunately I was part of the former group. Of course mine was 15 yrs ago, so I don't know what the current procedures are like.
The guy that did mine was named Dr. Plumber BTW. Seriously, that was his real name.

It is the most fantastic thing in the world. Mine went off with out hitch and only a couple of days of slight soreness after. A bag of frozen peas will help keep the swelling down. You will love it.

I have heard from a friend of a friend that you must not NOT take aspirin or ibuprofen for several days. The resulting swelling could be painful and scary looking.
Seems everybody recover at different speeds - listen to your body.

4 days of down time, wrenched about 4 bikes per day, made 6 trips to the bike shops, and watched 3 movies per day. Lots of frozen peas on the nuts as well. Afterwards and to this day still, imo, it's better then factory spec.

I had mine done at the end of last season (Early October). One incision in the middle, grab the vas, cut and cauterized, repeat on the other side. The local wasn't totally in effect on the right side, but I "manned up" and didn't say anything. Stupid. Made me feel like I was kicked in the balls for two days after. Left side, no problem. Procedure was on a Friday, sex by next Tuesday. Riding (the bike) took a week longer. Off 10 days total. Felt really weird the first day back riding. Next day felt better and even better the next.
