I just saw this on the BBC; is it true? I didn't even know numbers went that high.

On the books, its around 10 Trillion. Off the books (SSI/Medicare with no changes), its about 50 Trillion.

I just rewatched the segment - what they actually said was that they were adding extra digits to the debt clock to make room for a quadrillion amount. I obviously need some sleep because I'm hearing things!
