The Equalizer is dead... Can't Post

Edward Woodward, the Jag-drivin', AARP card carryin' hitman is dead. I loved this show. And I will admit it, I loved the Stewart Copeland soundtrack to it. Very cool opening song.

That sucks. I remember watching the show a bit as a kid, and re-watching it on A&E. I hope they release more seasons of the Equalizer on DVD now...

not to worry, if he was a good person he is going to heaven. (despite his killing of people on tv)

Not a surprise given his age, but sad to hear nonetheless.

Just makes me realize how old I am. I remember when this was on TV, I was in high school/college. In college, when cd's starting coming out, I have to admit that I bought the soundtrack because, well I don't know why. I thought back then it would sound coll on cd. It did.

Bad news - a great actor. The Equalizer was such an entertaining show. It and Magnum PI were 2 of my favs during the 80's.

Woodward also starred in "Breaker Morant" and the original "Wicker Man" - 2 unforgettable films.

It was cheesy, and I kind of liked it. What I remember also about the series was that it's violence made it a controversial show in England, while it fit in just fine here. I would probably prefer the Brit call for less violence, but more sex on TV. ;)
