So what are your weird Pet Peeves...
Can't Post
I was riding my motorcycle today going eastbound and a car going the opposite way cut me off making a left turn. The issue I had with this is that there was nobody behind me (cars, motorcycles, bikes, whatever). Did this A-hole really need to do this or could he/she have waited 2 seconds for me to go by. Anyway, it got me started thinking about pet peeves... here's a few:
- Person that gets on the half full elevator going down sees that the Lobby button is pressed yet he/she presses it again.
- Commercials that have "Se Habla Espanol" at the end of it with a heavy "gringo" accent.
- People that move their lips when you're talking to them as if they were repeating it to themselves.
- Servers that don't write down your order and then get it wrong (if you're going to pretend you can remember sh*t, at least get my order right).
- Bluetooths (or would it be Blueteeth?) when not driving, especially when worn by a Quiznos sandwich maker while working. Dude if you're so important that you must have that device on, what the hell are you doing making my sandwich?
- The Rico Suave at the Health Club/Gym.
I'm sure there's others but that's what I can come up with now...

- Don't call me before 8 am. Really, unless you're in serious danger or calling on behalf of someone who just kick the bucket don't call before 8....really deep scars on that one
- People reading books in traffic
- Blue tootheses. You're right. You have zero clue if they're talking to you, or some one else. Bad part is, i've got to get one.....crap

When people answer my questions with "well, BASICALLY..." as if I'm too stupid to understand the full version.
when people say "these ones" or "those ones", its either these or those!! no these ones!
People who walk too slowly down the hall in packs so you can't get around them.

Recently I was listening to a speaker give a lecture that was 45 minutes long. The guy had a Bluetooth on the whole time. It was so distracting because I spent half the time trying to figure out why he was wearing it because it was not as if he was going to take a call in the middle of the speaking engagement. The ONLY thing that made sense to me even a little was that perhaps he was using his cell phone as a digital voice recorder and was using the Bluetooth to convey his voice to the phone. Or maybe the guy was just a rude idiot.
The dishwasher has to be loaded a certain way. My wife loads it "wrong" so I am constantly reloading the dishwasher.
Road construction on US-23 where they shut the road down to 1 lane for months at a stretch, you never see a worker, and when they reopen it there is no discernable change in the road. 5 years running now.

people that talk over you - never let you finish what you have to say. the conversation is generally over for me if that happen twice in the first minute.
drivers that will stay in their own lane and buzz you by 2 feet even if there is not another soul on the road.

- People who call me AFTER 9PM, unless you are in serious danger or calling on behalf of someone who is, and even then it's you are taking a huge risk.
- People who are rude, both to me and to others. How hard is it to simply be nice?
- Cell phone usage, period. How did people survive when all phones came connected to a wall?!? The worst though, are people in restaurants having dinner with friends/family, and several people at the table, rather than talking to each other, are talking on their cell phones while they eat. I don't understand.
- People who are unhappy all of the time, who think the whole world has wronged them.
- Greedy and/or mean people.
I'm sure there are more, but these are my top 5.

I read a research report a while back that said that folks who oftentimes start out their statements with the word "honestly" are often habitual liars. Can't remember where I read this, though...honestly.

I hate blueteeth also. Get a clue, it is NOT a fashion accessory to be worn all the time.
I recently was on a plane, and it was a 3 hour flight. This lady across from me never took out her earpiece the entire trip. WTH Ohura, expecting a call from the Roumulans at any minute?

When the elevator stops on a floor where people are getting off and on at the same time remember off before on.
When I am walking down the sidewalk and a group of people are coming at me all walking abreast and taking up the entire sidewalk they seem to expect me to step into the street rather than have one of them fall behind the others.

People who chew gum in public. If I wanted to hear you chew you gum, I would ask you to do it. The worst is when your on a plane and the person beside/in front of/behind you is chewing and snapping their gum. Makes me want to turn around and slap them.
Also people who can not chew their dinner with their mouth closed.
Roomates who do not clean up after themselves.
The whole "let be be honest" start to a sentence. NO jack-ass, I want you to lie to me. (I hear this alot from car dealers)
People who park in front of my house to visit the neighbors. If there is a spot in front of the neighbors, park in front of their house.
People who tug on their dogs collars to get them to listen. GOD this pisses me off and more often than not, I have to say something.

On the other hand... I similarly dislike it when someone claims to be a Republican or a Democrat yet they don't have any justification or idea why. Actually, this applies to anyone who strongly supports something without really knowing why? "Just because" isn't a good reason people!

People who wait right at the elevator door to get on not leaving room for those exiting.
People who stand in the doorway of the bus during commute hours through the finacial district -there are people getting off at EVERY stop, get the hell out of the way.
People who block my driveway, it's not a parking space!!!
People who invade my personal space- especially guys who rub against you when passing. There's plenty of room to get by without getting intimate, and if there isn't, just tell me and I'll move.
Women who choose the stall next to me to pee when there are plenty of empty ones, give me some space damnit!
People who leave water all over the bathroom counter.
People who are so cheap they asked for a discount at chipotle when they couldn't serve tomatoes.
People who call me "KT" (ok, this is the same person that asked for a 10 percent discount at chipotle).
People who ask me a question then argue my answer (don't freaking ask me then).
People talking on cell phones in an elevator (spare me your conversation).

The iPhone thread reminded me of this one:
People who constantly check their Blackberry's in the middle of meetings. If I set up a meeting with an outside consultant, I really don't want "you" sitting there checking your email while he's talking. If "you" weren't my boss I would have stopped the meeting and said something.
