Is the GM ride a realistic way to manage your money? I liked the virtual game less because of the lack of realism. That might just be me. .....
How would you want the rules to be modified?
Wait how realistic is this game when you can just Start over after losing 40% of your portfolio in 45 days?

Is anyone else having issues with prices for certain securities not updating while the markets are open? This site is quite frustrating to try to use. Also, my sale of SSD didn't go through at the end of the day on Monday. That really sucked yesterday; SSD is 2x inverse of SP 500. If the trade went through correctly, then it would have been a ~$10,000 difference, because I also bought SSO, which mirrors 2x SP500. Its hard to buy the dips and sell the rips, when trades don't properly execute...
I didn't play last year, but what site did you use last year?

Is there a way to buy oil? Or short it? Can I buy/short it in Euros instead of dollars? Can I just play the Euro short/long? Anyone?? Not that I would do this with any of my real money, but would be interesting to play the game using something a bit different from stocks.

I hear your complaint about the time difference. I pretty much avoid anything super short for that reason, which is unfortunate because that's really the only way to make money at the moment. What complicates that even further for me is that I'm in Denver, so I'm really screwed with the time difference, morning workouts, and slow website. Whatever. So be it.

What might be a funny connection here, is that there was a Ken Langone that was a pro in the 80's, and he lived on Long Island. I remember that he came from a wealthy family, and I think he ended up in Tuscon or Phoeniz. I think that this might just be his father. Go to work all you ST sleuths and see if we can connect Sprizer to the former pro triathlete Ken Langone in 2 moves....

So why are you not a fan of marketwatch's game? I thought you did this one cause you wanted to play the options market not that you had an issue with Marketwatch site?
As far as realistic, how realistic is this one if we can just reset our score anytime?

I had similar trade hanging issues with that one too. The ability to trade options was part of it, but not the only thing.
That's what I am saying about realism. If you can just reset, it is not realistic. So I asked if anyone knew of a game different from marketwatch and investopedia. if there isn't a better one, then I guess we will just have to deal with one of these.

Not a very good day if you are a BSC investor. I was 2 clicks away from shorting it when it spiked pre-market. Shoulda woulda coulda. DUG and short WM are making me money today.
