It seems theres a couple in that group out of touch too. The only thing the Army is guilty of is overlooking this turd BECAUSE of his religion.
“When a white guy shoots up a post office, they call that going postal,” said Victor Benjamin II, 30, a former member of the Army. “But when a Muslim does it, they call it jihad.
If the white guy jumped on a table and had thrown out some Bible verses about how everyone in the room were sinners or had spent his time telling soldiers they were evil because of their jobs then he would have been a little closer on his analogy.

“When a white guy shoots up a post office, they call that going postal,” said Victor Benjamin II, 30, a former member of the Army. “But when a Muslim does it, they call it jihad.
The Muslims I've lived with and among quite often used two phrases to get through most of their day: "Inshallah," meaning "If God wills" and "Allahu Akbar," loosely meaning "God is great" or that "God is the greatest," or "Nothing can surpass God." You might bowl a strike and turn around and shout "Allahu akbar!" and most people would applaud.
I think, though, that one needs to look at the context in which the phrase "Allahu Akbar" -- especially when it's screamed before and during the act of shooting down unarmed soldiers -- is used, which in this case leads me to think it probably means something more than just "He was a bad guy who happened to be a Muslim." I think, then that somebody complaining about Muslims being unfairly targeted as engaging in righteous jihad -- not the inner struggle, but the one as practiced by Wahhabis and Salafists, to name just two rigid fundamentalist Islamic belief systems -- whenever they kill a dozen or more people comes across as dissimulation and refusal to address issues within the ummah (brotherhood) when it comes to getting a handle on this problem of people using Islam as a pretext to engage in mass murder.
This man was wearing what was probably his death clothing the morning he went into the local 7-11 for his cup of morning joe. He'd started giving away his worldly possessions and was passing out the Qur'an in large numbers and looked for all the world to be -- in his twisted mind -- looking for the excuse he needed to override his moral programming enough to become a mass murderer. I'm sure we're going to find out -- if the media and government is honest about this one -- that he'd been building himself up to do this for some time now. Most likely, he latched onto the violent form of jihad and the need to "protect" fellow Muslims from persecution as his means of overcoming the moral safeguards most of us have within us and which prevent us from slaughtering random people because of our grievances.
Whether or not he actively and truly felt violent jihad was his duty as a "good" Muslim is immaterial. It's what he did (invoke jihad) that created terror on that base, which is -- at heart -- the basis for the terrorist act; the deliberate creation of terror in a given population under attack by the person creating the terror, who becomes, then, "the terrorist."
It seems to be increasingly clear that Hasan was, indeed, trying to be a terrorist.

The comments about what he was looking for in a wife support that he was pretty serious about his religion and I dont thik its a stretch to beleive he was in line with the Wahhabis and Salafists. Of course I am bringing in other factors such as his comments as gunned down infidels

I agree with those statements.

It's not surprising that this thread has slipped to the second page--people simply don't want to face the truth regarding the worst terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11.
The Jihad against the citizens of the US continues, and Fort Hood should be a wake up call.
The whitewashing of this incident by the media is truly disgusting and shows that the terrorists are winning.
People don't want to quesiton whether this filthy pig's religion is why he killed our soldiers--it's as if such a connection would somehow be a stain on Islam.
And now, we find out that our own intelligence sources new this filthy pig was trying to contact al Qaeda:
http://abcnews.go.com/...als/story?id=9030873
U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.
It is not known whether the intelligence agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said.
One senior lawmaker said the CIA had, so far, refused to brief the intelligence committees on what, if any, knowledge they had about Hasan's efforts.
CIA director Leon Panetta and the Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, have been asked by Congress "to preserve" all documents and intelligence files that relate to Hasan, according to the lawmaker.
On Sunday, Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) called for an investigation into whether the Army missed signs as to whether Hasan was an Islamic extremist.
"If Hasan was showing signs, saying to people that he had become an Islamist extremist, the U.S. Army has to have a zero tolerance," Lieberman told Fox News Sunday.
How many more excuses for this filthy pig are you going to come up with now Yahey?
And to Senator Lieberman: Thank you for standing up for this country and doing your part to protect us from Jihad.

Someone may have already stated this as I may have missed a page or two of responses. When a pro-life guy, who sometimes goes to church, blows up an abortion clinic or shoots a doctor - we here about how he is a fundamentalist Christian. Yet, when this pig shoots up Ft Hood, these same people say it isn't because of his religion that he does it. give me a break

To truly understand how fucked we are, people should visit:
http://www.jihadwatch.org/
This is from a recent post:
FP: What does this massacre, and the media response, indicate about what is coming down the line for our country?
Spencer:
The more we remain in denial about how these things happen, and from what wellsprings they come, the more we will see of attacks like this.
Why? Because nothing is being done to prevent them. Instead of the endless stories about backlash that we are seeing, we should be seeing stories about authorities calling the American Muslim community to account. We should be seeing stories about authorities demanding transparent, inspectable programs in American mosques and Islamic schools, teaching against the Islamic doctrines that inspired Nidal Hasan. This is not a religious freedom issue - these are political doctrines with a lethal edge, as Nidal Hasan illustrated. It is an entirely Constitutional matter of self-protection to move to restrict it.
But that won't happen.
Political correctness has the media and government in a stranglehold.
That will only ensure that nothing will be done to address this problem at its root, and we will see many more Nidal Hasans.
FP: Robert Spencer, thank you for joining us.

One of the issues being looked at on a broader scale is how easy it is to become a homegrown, self-created, terrorist. Certainly, the Jihadi websites are out there as well as endless streams of propaganda exhorting members of the ummah to rise up to defend Islam (or at least the fanatic's twisted and warped sense of what Islam is). This guy looked to be casting about for a way to resolve a few internal conflicts he was having and had pretty much made sure the only way to resolve those conflicts was through jihad. The imam at the mosque he attended in Killeen also says he seemed obstinate about what the only "true" path was.
At any rate. The good major's awake and able to speak now, so we might begin to get a sense of what was running through his brain housing group. I hear that there's also serious consideration being given to the idea of charging him with treason in addition to his myriad other evil acts.
