Run for the Fallen Sunday August 24th

Thought I'd share this here - a group has been running across the US since June 14 in memory of those lost in action in Iraq and Afghanistan and will be finishing their journey on Sunday at Arlington Nat'l Cemetary. At each mile along the route, they have stopped to place a small US flag along with the name of a fallen soldier, creating a cross-country memorial. It is a non-political event and not a pro/anti-war message, just a way to pay tribute to their memories. Organized runs are also taking place in various states around the country on Sunday that were not part of the cross-country route (I am participating in one in NH). People can also get involved by running a mile on their own on Sunday in memory of a fallen soldier as a way to pay tribute.
