Relocating to Socal questions Can't Post
I am looking to reside in the Ojai/Ventura/Oxnard area. If anyone has any specific recommendations in general about where to live, what to see, where to go for this or that, or anything else, I'd welcome it.

But, specifically, wondering if there's any general consensus for very good dentists and PCP's?

You have lots of options in the general area. Ventura and Ojai are both nice. Ojai is inland a bit (maybe 8 miles or so), so it will be considerably hotter in summer if that's an issue. But, you are also closer to the mountains for riding in Ojai in several directions. You can even come south a bit to Camarillo (10 miles or so) if you want and that's nice, too. Oxnard has some nice spots along the beach, but some less than desirable areas as well, so be careful and make sure which you are looking at if you opt for that. You will have lots of company if you want as far as cycling, swimming or running. Rincon Tri is based in Ventura and I've been a member for 3 years or so. Usually have an organized ride on Saturdays and yahoo hotflash messages for impromptu training. Other meetings are at most local tris, a few socials and summer semi-monthly informal duathlons during the week after work. Most of the rides leave from either Ventura or Camarillo and go a different route each weekend of the month before rotating back. There are several masters programs in the area, but I think the Ventura masters is probably closest and has quite a few Rincon members (some damn fast swimmers, too). You can go in several directions for riding. South to Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley and Moorpark, Southwest to the coast and down toward Malibu (and up any number of canyons if you want), North along the coast up to Santa Barbara, or Northeast through Ojai and into the mountains up toward Frazier Park. I live in Simi, but have been around all of these areas enough to know at least some of the places to ride, run, eat, see and avoid. Let me know if you want any more information or have questions.
