Just watched her on the Today Show. I have to say, I don't mind that Snackie is a big fan. I don't see Mylie going the way of Christina Aguilera (super slutty phase) or Brittney (bat-shit crazy). I think she's a good role model. And while I won't be loading her new album on my ipod, it doesn't make me wish I were deaf and I will load it Snackie's. I couldn't afford her concert tickets (seeing as I don't own an oil well or chain of fast food restaurants) but we did go to the imax version with behind the scenes footage from her tour. Not the worst $40 I've spent.
I called my mom to make sure they watch the show when it comes on later in Hawaii. How much do I miss my kid that I'm watching it without her??

I haven't seen it, but she did apparently do a slutty photo spread for a mag. Is she older then 16? Doesn't look it.

She is under 16. She did topless photos (with a sheet covering her with only her back exposed) for Vanity Fair magazine. She also has pictures on her MySpace page of her in her underwear and of her draped all over her boyfriend.
I have trouble viewing her in any way, shape or form as a positive role model for young girls.

That part was in reply to Katy's comments. Its a long thing, she did not get her kids tickets to see Hanna Montana cause she could not afford them, and was mad that only those who could afford to stand in line early or pay the scalpers could get to go.
Just my way of stirring up the bee hive.
Ignore me its often the best thing.

Um, screw you. Hawaii is my home jack ass. Where my entire family is. I could pay a couple thousand dollars and stick her in day camp for the summer, or I could scrape up enough money (less than the cost of camp) for 1, yes 1, ticket to Hawaii so she can spend the summer with her grandmother and cousins.

Uh ya I kinda knew Hawaii was were your family was, still doesn't reduce the cost of the ticket. If you said that you spent a couple grand to stick them in summer camp I would have said the same thing.
The point being its not that you could not afford the ticket to see Hanna, its that you choose other places to spend you discretionary money. Ipods, trips, ect....
You do seem touchy on this and really like to curse.
Its great you can afford to send your kid away to spend the summer with her grandmother and cousins. Just don't bitch that you can't afford to also buy her Hanna tickets.

I have no clue what she spends her money on. The point being she has money and if she wanted she could have spent the $500 for the Hanna tickets. She just choose not to (a move I whole heartedly approve of)
Gotta go to the local festival, to get my kids new bike helmets that the local cable company is giving away.

Child care is not optional. That is exactly what sending her to Hawaii is. Before you h off on me having a choice to work or choosing to be a single parent be advised that is not the case. As far as my cursing goes, I'd rather call someone an asshole than be one.

Never attacked her for how she chooses to spend her money. Just trying to point out the CHOOSES part.
She implied only those who owned an oil well or chain of fast food

could afford Hanna tickets and I was trying to point out here and in the previous thread that lots of folks who are every day Janes went to those concerts. She appears to feel that Mylie / Hannah is some good role model for her daughter and by not taking her to the concert she was a bad parent. Note how she continues to refrences the fact she could not get tickets some 3+ months later.
Its a choice we all make them everyday. Her kid has an Ipod for god sake depending on the model ect that have covered the cost of the ticket.
I don't care what she spends her money on. I just don't know why she feels scalpers are so evil, and why seeing some rich brat sing on stage is or should be so important.
I put the original reply out as a joke, figuring 3+ months later this issue would have past. but clearly I hit the nest, and all the bees are coming out.

Yes, you have it. Unfortunately I think you were sarcastic.
But Yes, you choose the size house which yielded you that mortgage. You could rent a small place and have the P3C and Zipp.
My parents lived with my grandparents, 5 kids and a dog in a 2 bedroom 800 sq ft house.
Vitus, what about cell phones, and tv services your making a choice there also. (I don't know what it is but its a choice) Along with the size car heck owning a car instead of using a cab or bus, and renting something for family vacations. Of course family vacations are another choice. Lots of people I know did stay-cations long before that was a name.
It was not so much an inside joke, as an outside argument. but I am not ignorant on this one. Yes I am being a jerk and keep hitting the bee hive.
