McCain Is Just Too Damn Old

This was told to me by a neighbor in his 70's the other day. Not that I agree or disagree, but it was an interesting and surprising statement by someone who I thought would be solidly behind McCain.
In the conversation he made a couple of interesting points about McCain and his age (these are his words, not mine):
1) Most companies do not hire 74 year old people for important jobs, they just get jobs handing out buggies at Wal-Mart
2) Unless someone owns the company, or has been at the top position since the Earth cooled, they usually don't have a guy in his 70's in the top post
3) If there is someone of advanced age in the top spot, they give him a good right had man for backup, that crazy woman (his words, not mine) he got is not right to take over a 2 car funeral procession, let alone our country
4) The Bush gang and the other Republicans have made a mess of things. His VP pick and his campaign tactics makes me think he will get the same bunch of idiots to run his administration.
Again, interesting and surprising observations from a Korean War veteran, retired banker, rotarian and a pillar of the local Presbyterian church, not someone I would picture as an Obama Kool-Aid drinker.
