In Bruges - movie review Can't Post

Absolutely friggin hilarious. The fat American scene had me on the floor and then to back it up with the restaurant fight was genius. I don't think I've ever seen a movie portray the European/American dynamic better and it was just a small part of the story line.

Who knew, Colin Farrell can actually act!

I saw the trailers and can't wait to see it. Is it out in theatres or on DVD already?

Did I not say the same thing some time ago? it was fantastic, I quite like the "I will have a gay beer for my gay friend" a line that I use now with great regularity.

I liked the ketamine dealers, Ralph Fiennes, from the English Patient, to a psycho british gangster.........

It was amazing....

Movies this week:

  • Monday Wall-E (I think that this might be one of the darkest movies I've ever seen)
  • Tuesday Hancock (Actually really funny)
  • Friday Batman (Heath Ledger was brilliant, it was good, the audience here laughed at the same part that I think Vitus or Slowguy brought up and to be honest I thought it was funny, be happy to discuss my state of mind if anyone wants to)
  • Saturday Rendition - this is a good one, a little trite but well done
  • Sunday Ratatouille

watched it again the other night (saw it in the cinema a while back) probably one of the funniest films of the year.

The fat americans bit is brilliant, as is the racist midget.

Re: In Bruges - movie review [MattinSF] [In reply to] Can't Post

my fav lines:

Ken: Coming up?

Ray: What's up there?

Ken: The view.

Ray: The view of what? The view of down here? I can see that down here.

Ken: Ray, you are about the worst tourist in the whole world.

Ray: Ken, I grew up in Dublin. I love Dublin. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't.

------------------

Harry: [to Yuri] An Uzi? I'm not from South Central Los Angeles. I didn't come here to shoot twenty black ten year olds in a drive-by. I want a normal gun for a normal person.

-----------------

Ken: Harry, let's face it. And I'm not being funny. I mean no disrespect, but you're a cunt. You're a cunt now, and you've always been a cunt. And the only thing that's going to change is that you're going to be an even bigger cunt. Maybe have some more cunt kids.

Harry: [furious] Leave my kids fucking out of it! What have they done? You fucking retract that bit about my cunt fucking kids!

Ken: I retract that bit about your cunt fucking kids.

Harry: Insult my fucking kids? That's going overboard, mate!

Ken: I retracted it, didn't I?

Have to agree. Tracy and I watched this tonight and it was really good. One of the best movies I've seen in awhile.
