Yeah, it's like that old torture method where they'd put a wooden pallet or flat board or something on your chest and stack more and more rocks on you until you either suffocated to death or had your chest crushed and you bled out. Such is the weight of rhetorical, or even Socratic, argument.
I went over to the other room yesterday (the triathlon one) and told them that me, him, sometimes V-Man (though he's equally adept at arguing either side of an issue), and Slowguy were holding off the far-left hordes with RPGs and M16s at first, but that it had lately gotten down to us using "numb-chucks and Bruce Lee Kung-Fu moves" against them :-))
Nothing like a good, juicy argument, though, to get the old brain spinning. AJfranke seems to be picking up his slack, though.

Yup. This room is far the more interesting than always discussing crank length and run splits and stuff. In fact, this room is by far the deepest-thinking and most thoughtful (usually, except in cases when we start hurling invectives at each other :-) of the political forums that I've been to.
For balance, I go over to Free Republic and The Daily Kos sometimes. All you usually get over there is a lot of crying from both sides and insulting of "DummyCrats" and "Right Wing Whackos". If I want that, I can just listen to talk radio ;-)
