Bank Enforces Customer Dress Code Can't Post

Banks are enforcing a new dress code for their customers. No hats, hoods or sunglasses are allowed.

They want to see that look on your face when they will tell you that they are out of money ;)

I haven't been inside a bank in 5 years.

I'd wouldn't be at all surprised if you hadn't either, Mito. Yes? :-)

Pretty much an online-banking type person but I don't like banks very much.

In Italy bank doors are locked and armed (we're talking semi-automatic weapons) soldiers let you in after seeing your ID.

have you ever been to Italy or are you just making it up? Yeah, there are vault-like doors with cameras to get in, but I've never heard of soldiers being stationed there OR anybody checking your ID at the door...

Okay, it was a decade ago, but one of my distinct memories of my vacation to Rome is of precisely the above vignette. Locked and heavily secured bank doors guarded by soldiers with semi-automatic weapons.

No reason to make things up... this is not a powercrank or aero thread.

Yes... after finishing college in 1992...did the Euro-tour for 5 mos. Another vignette I'll never forget is taking the train into Italy via Austria. The train stopped at the Italian border. Armed soldiers with aforementioned semi-auto weapons entered the train with german shephards. We were told to place our bags including the ones in the overhead compartments on the ground, which the dogs proceeded to sniff, presumably for drugs. I was glad I heeded previous advice not to let my backpack out of sight.

It's for bank robbery prevention I'm sure. We do it all the time where I work. Often it's a dude in a hoodie, with sunglasses and gloves who is standing in line looking down at his feet. Bank robbers are not rocket scientists. Things are really heating up the past few weeks and banks are taking preventative measures whenever they can. I've responded to three bank robberies in the past 5 days, and that's just in my corner of Northern CA. I'm waiting for today's call.

Speaking of Atlanta, too bad the dress code doesn't require pants to be above the knees.
