Are we winning in Iraq or losing in Afghanistan? Can't Post

This is all getting pretty confusing.

First we won in Afghanistan and were losing in Iraq (except for those who said high casualties during war does not mean you are losing) and now it looks like we are winning in Iraq (except for the same people who say low casualites during war does mean you are winning) but may be on the verge of losing in Afghanistan.

Maybe we should just start another war in Iran, to break the deadlock.

I hear the iranians are planning to welcome us with garlands of flowers. Should all be over in 6 weeks tops.

Geroge Orwell was brilliant. Only through war can we have peace. Without the wars how would we know we are winning battles?

I know it's been a while but I distinctly remember living in peace before we went to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Without the wars how would we know we are winning battles?

Are you referring to Iraq or Afghanistan?

"First we won in Afghanistan..."

We never won in Afghanistan. We got sidetracked and went into Iraq. Now the Taliban is stronger than ever and the Heroin poppy trade is alive and well. Afghanistan is now deadlier for our forces than Iraq.
Up until recently I kept telling myself, "At least my daughter is getting deployed to Afghanistan instead of Iraq".
I am really upset. These fucking wars make me sick.
