Anyone ever buy kevlar Can't Post

Anyone here ever buy and sewn anything made of Kevlar? I've got an idea but holy crap the number of different choices for Kevlar are insane. HRH Bunnyman can you help me, sire?

yah but probably not what you're looking for.

I used to use 3-5mm kevlar cored rope to tie off the old Chouinard Hexcentrics used for placing protection in lead climbing:

The cord was $1.50 a foot. you had to cut the kevlar to the length you wanted then melt the nylon covering as the kevlar wouldn't melt easily

sewing it - you best have a super heavy duty sewing machine.

I was hoping for more of a cloth (like the stuff in bullet proof vest). Sewing machine? Have you not been paying attention, I'm cheap I'll do the first version by hand. Oh what pain I have in store.

yah you're right. Having helped repair a GP Medium tent out in the field once using the sailor's needles in a tent repair kit. hand sewing heavy gauge cloth is painstaking and thankless work, my hands were smoked after repairing 24 inched of the 36 inch rip on our operations center tent.

That was heavy gauge canvas, I'm not sure how close to kevlar clothy it is.
