Any podcasts people can recommend? Can't Post

My commuting pattern has changed, and now I'm taking the metro here in the DC-area a lot (so no radio).

Suggestions? I like sports, I like history, I like anything by really smart people that would teach me something new or make me think. I also like funny.

This American Life.

You can get almost all the NPR shows as podcasts. Fresh Air is good. Planet Money covers current economic issues in an understandable way. (Actually, these days many networks put out podcasts of their content so I'd check on any radio stuff you are already listening to and see if there is a podcast of it.)

One of my favorite podcasts is Astronomy Cast. Its a weekly 1/2 hour discussion of some aspect of how the universe works. If you are interested in science and astronomy its great.

Sports Guy (Bill Simmons) on ESPN.com has some interesting ones. Lately he's been doing podcast promos of the "30 for 30" documentaries that are on ESPN on Tuesday nights (which themselves have been very very good).
