New wicking shirts Can't Post

Hi all,

Just wanted to get some opinions on a project I put together with a friend of mine. We were interested in producing some wicking shirts that wouldn't break the bank but would, at the same time, feel expensive. We did lot of research and found that we would have to design the shirts ourselves. So that's what we did. We had a small run of shirts to see how they would come out. We were impressed but would like some other opinions. I would like to send out some shirts to the members of the Slowtwitch group in order to get some feedback. I have 5 to give out, S-XL (they run kinda small). Let me know if you are interested - send me an email to stevensebastian at gmail dot com with your address and I'll send it out. I'll post the beta of the website so you can get an idea of the shirt. It only comes in white for now. www.endure.bigcartel.com

Thanks!

Sebastian

Re: New wicking shirts [sebastian] [In reply to] Can't Post

I was one of the lucky ones that got one of these shirts. I wore it on my longish run on Thursday (1 hour and 20 mins).

Sizing - I asked for a large and it fits snug. It is not too tight but most of my other "tech t's" fit a little looser. I am assuming this thing will stretch out a bit.
Feel - even though snug it was very comfy. I got absolutely no chafing anywhere. The seams are in different places than most shirts, so that it is nice. I did use the key holder in the front (a little zipper) which was more convenient than tying it in the string of my shorts like I usually do.
Wicking - This is where this shirt is PHENOMENAL. I am a huge sweater. I do alot of weighing myself pre and post runs. On 30 minute runs when its like 60 degrees, I can lose about 3lbs of water weight. Anyway, when I got home after 80 mins...this thing was almost dry. I usually have to wring my shirts out, but not with this one. I had my wife feel the shirt and she was even impressed.
Looks - It's a white T...not too crazy about the one arm band being red....but that is cool.

This is a great shirt...highly reccoomend it.

I got mine too! I'll probably have a chance to try it out on Monday. I really like the material and the key pocket!

The shirt is $12, less if purchased in quantity. Check out www.endure.bigcartel.com.

The www.endure.bigcartel.com site has been fixed. The small bug preventing sizing has been removed. Choose at will!

Thanks,

Re: New wicking shirts [sebastian] [In reply to] Can't Post

I recieved my shirt on Friday and immediately I noticed how great the feel of it was in my hands. It felt very nice and if I were to guess, I would have assumed the price is in the $30-40 range based on the way it looked and felt, definitely nicer than any shirt I have ever received at a race. I personally like the 1 red sleeve as the color is balanced on the other side with the logo on the other side. The shirt pocket comes in really handy for carrying my gym ID card as I like to run to my pool workouts and dries really fast as well. After my pool workout this morning it was already dry for my run home so I didn't freeze at the beginning of my run home. The seams were in unique locations, I've never had issues with the seams on a traditional shirt, but the idea is logical and felt nice. The only issue I have had is that it is quite small for the size, so make sure you order up. I usually get my active shirts in size L (I'm 6'0 205 about 6-7% bf) and taking the advice that they run small asked for an XL. The XL is actually smaller than most Large's I have worn and this shirt is pretty tight on me, but works great anyway. In my honest opinion $12 for this shirt is literally a steal, if there were a more colors I would buy them all.

Re: New wicking shirts [sebastian] [In reply to] Can't Post

These reviews sold me - I just ordered one. These shirts at this price (I will buy more after trying this one out) reminds me of the discussion that was going on in the main forum regarding the pricing of race photos. These shirts totally exemplify the argument. I (used to) never buy these kinds of shirts b/c I get so many with race entries, but for 12 bucks, why not? It's funny, but even at $15 I probably would have passed - in the scheme of things, such a small difference, but true nonetheless.

Update: I got it & I love it!

Re: New wicking shirts [sebastian] [In reply to] Can't Post

I haven't run in mine yet, but I did wear it last night. My mom liked it so much she ordered 2 for herself! It's a really nice looking shirt. Extremely comfy too.

As far as fit, I find they run like a true men's size. The small is quite loose on me. May not be a bad idea to make one more size (XS), for small women.

Re: New wicking shirts [sebastian] [In reply to] Can't Post

I receved my shirt earlier this week. Used it this AM for a half marathon race. Worked quite well. The temp was in the 40's & we had some sections of headwinds with pre race sprinkles. I wore some wind pants & the shirt with pearl izumi arm warmers. Didn't feell like the shirt was there. Very comfotable & no moisture, clampy feeling can get wit hsome of the other shirts when they get wet.
I had a size large which fit my shoulder like it should & was a bit loose around the bottom. I ususally wear a men's medium so the sizes as everyoneelse has said run small.

Thanks!

Barb

Hello - I want to order a shirt, but it sounds like you don't have my size. XL sometimes fits me, usually I need a XXL. That's when the shirt runs true. I'm just tall and have broad shoulders - there are plenty of triathletes bigger than me that would probably purchase also! Just an idea.

Sorry about that, man. We'll be getting larger sizes within a couple of months. Check back with us in about June.

Later,

Ran with mine today. AWESOME. The double seam along the shoulder really allows the shirt to sit well.
