The 2009 Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead race is now open for on-line registration at www.steelheadtriathlon.com. The new site also has a forum section. Check it out! Z

Tom,
Is the golf course construction going to affect things that greatly next year? For the record, I've raced Steelhead the last 2 yrs and find it a great race.
Oh...Great job with the National Anthem at MOO.

bummer about it being a du this year. i hate running, i love swimming...
LOVED the new asphalt on the bike course, hope it stays in good shape over the winter!!!
i like the new logo.
any changes for next year? what's the participant cap for next year?

The du from this year left me sour. Nothing to be done about it, but I traveled 7 hours for a du...not happening again.
Besides distancediva's boyfriend will probably win again. that dude is awesome!!!

We will take only 1,800 in 2009. The new park site will only hold that many athletes. Looking forward to a great new site at the New Jean Klock Park. Z

Only 1800 next year? If so that will be awesome! Maybe not for you so much but will mkae the race better for the competitors. Guess I better sign up early this year. Thanks

The new parking lot will be on the beach side of the dunes and we will not have as much room. So sign up early and often. Z
